Hello Beauties, welcome to my new blog! If you’re a previous reader of mine I thank you for sticking with me. If you’re new, then welcome!
With a ton of beauty blogs on the internet these days, you might ask “what makes yours different?” Well, I like to think of myself as the girl next door. For years now, I’ve been the one my friends and family come to for advice on everything from product recommendations to fitness routines.
After seeing how my suggestions and advice have helped others, I was encouraged to start this blog.
How I got started…
Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved to write. Coming from a family of published authors it’s not hard to see where that passion came from. After graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Public Relations I found myself eager to start my career and put those writing skills to the ultimate test. Unfortunately, my dreams of landing a killer PR job were quickly met with the harsh realization that I was a tiny fish in a huge pond.
I ended up working in Logistical Events Planning, far from my original dream. Though I enjoyed my work, I often felt as if I was creatively deprived. Yearning for a change I began blogging about the very topics that had become so natural for me to discuss with my friends and family.
After a few months on blogspot, I realized I wanted a website with more options. A space where I can share my advice and reviews on more than just makeup. That’s when I decided to create Collective Beauty. Here, I can chat with you about beauty, haircare, fitness and whatever else comes to mind. My ultimate goal is to create a blog where people can come to find helpful tips on their favorite topics. A blog that you find friendly and welcoming and one that you can trust for honest reviews. I like to consider all my readers my friends, so please feel free to join in on the conversation and leave your comments!
I believe makeup has the power to make every woman look and feel beautiful. Though the products that work for me, may not work for you, I hope you find my blog to be fun and informative.
XOXO,
Julie
