MAC: Sunday Afternoon Face Powder

MAC Pearlmatte Face Powder in Sunday Afternoon

This beautiful multi-colored blush, recently launched with the Vera collection, is the newest edition to my blush drawer. Featuring three different shades, this unique face powder leaves behind the most beautiful frosty finish.

On my quest to find the perfect bright pink blush, I discovered this super pretty limited edition face powder. Currently for sale at MAC stores, counters and online, this blush retails for $28 and is the size of an MSF (Mineralized Skin Finish). It will probably take years to go through this! :D

When swatched individually, these colors aren’t all that pigmented. However, when swirled together this produces a really nice raspberry pink with iridescence.

What I love most about this is the fact that they separated each color allowing you to customize your finish. Lately, I’ve been loving the look of frosty blushes so I always make sure to blend in the bottom shade when I use this. But, if you wanted to you could avoid that shade and instead create a subtle, less glowy finish.

As you can see from the photos, even though I swirled in the frosty shade the overall look is still pretty natural and not over the top shimmery. The frosty white shade in this blush is incredibly finely milled, not at all glittery or chalky. Plus, it makes a beautiful inner corner highlight on the eyes!

I’m really happy with this blush and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a pretty pink cheek!

QUICK RUNDOWN:

  • Retails for $28 (12g of product)
  • Limited Edition
  • Three shades included
  • Lasts 4-6 hrs on cheeks
  • Can be used as a blush or highlight

Have you tried anything from the Vera collection?

XOXO,

Julie

  1. [...] Both of these blushes are natural looking and buildable on the cheeks, only difference is the finish and the price. If you’re in the market for a frosty blush, and you aren’t concerned with price, then I’d go with MAC (you can check out my full review here). [...]
